The conscientious technologist can derive much personal satisfaction as a contributor to the success of the health team and the well-being of the patient.

JOB/CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

A career in radiologic technology can lead in many directions. They work in a large hospital, a suburban out patient clinic or a rural physician’s office. They could specialize in dozens of clinical areas ranging from prenatal care to orthopaedics. They could manage an entire radiology department, including its budget and personnel. With additional education, they could become a radiologist assistant, expanding their capabilities by serving as a radiologist extender.
